Three years ago, at age 89, I wrote and self-published my first book. Titled 'Pidge and Jamie' it is the story of my parents who both served, separately, in the war zone of France during World War I. I now own over 1200 letters they wrote to each other during those years, and a large part of the book is based on these letters. The book was featured in an article in the Chicago Sun-Times and USA Today in 2016.
Today, as well as writing, I am still working in a business my husband and I started in 1981. We bought a house, the original of which dates to 1756, and remodeled it for shooting television commercials, talk shows and movies. It's now known as a television location house, and it is also my home. To date we have had over 3,000 days of shooting. I still find it stimulating, interesting and fun - a wonderful experience - and I thoroughly enjoy working in it every day. My greatest joy are my three children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, all of whom I am blessed to see very often.
